DeVito was born in Neptune Township, New Jersey, the son of Daniel DeVito, Sr., a small business owner, and Julia DeVito. He grew up in a family of five, with his parents and two older sisters. He is of Italian descent; his family is originally from San Fele, Basilicata. He was raised in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
He is married to Rhea Perlman an they have acted along side eahc other on several occasions. They were going to get a divorce and then later in 2018 to not get a divorce and they renewed thier wedding vows.
His acitng carrier wasnt big until he had acted in a series called taxi which has given him fame and to star in many movies or act in them. He had also won three five emmy's four of them being from the series taxi. Danny devito has also directed some movies as well one of his most popular being Throw Momma from the Train.
